Fitting Backpacks

Step 7 - Tension the Lower Load Stabiliser Straps

How do you use the Lower Load Stabiliser Straps?

The Lower Load Stabiliser Straps are the seventh step in fitting a backpack. After fully tensioning the Hip Belt the Lower Load Stabiliser Straps are tensioned to draw the backpack into the lower back. This will ensure the backpack is fully secured and provide a static stable platform to support the backpack load. Whether the Harness Shoulder Straps are loosened to place more weight on the lower back, or tightened to place more weight on the shoulders the backpack load will not move lower.
