Backpack Construction

Backpack Airflow Mesh

The Airflow Mesh constitutes a major advance in material technology, a three dimensional material that is non-absorbent and highly water-resistant. This Airflow Mesh features honeycombed cells that breathe to keep your back cool and as illustrated promotes a continuous airflow to wick moisture from the body.

Airflow Mesh is far superior to Suspended Mesh Harness Systems that in the long term are prone to stretching and then ultimately collapsing. Suspended Mesh Harness Systems are suitable for very light weights. However, a heavier load suspended further from the back will not provide the correct distribution of weight, and will fail to provide backpack stability.

Unfortunately back perspiration from contact with the backpack in hot weather is unavoidable. However, most well designed backpacks will provide good harness air flow and Airflow Mesh to assist in alleviating this problem.
