Main PeakThe Main Peak is constructed to offer the astute buyer an equal competitor to the most expensive backpacks on the world market. The SHS Harness System used in this backpack is the result of three years of development by the White Mountain™ Team and has been tested extensively in South West Tasmania. The SHS Harness System used in this backpack is the successor of the SSS Harness and is a true unisex harness with contoured shoulder straps and extra material on the anchor position of the hip belt to allow true contouring over the hips. The quoted capacity of either 65 L or 75 L does not take into account the the extra capacity achieved by extending the top lid. This would add conservatively 10 L to the quoted capacity of the Main Peak, bringing the total capacity to either 75 L or 85 L respectively. We have also included a front pocket for items that require easy and quick access. There is a fixing position for extra gear on the front and top of the extending lid, and the bottom compression straps over the sleeping bag compartment are long enough to accommodate a sleeping mat if required. We also incorporate two internal compression straps within the lower sleeping bag compartment. The material is 950D Kodra, one of the strongest and most durable synthetic products on the world market and a fabric often used on military backpacks for strength and abrasive resistance.
