The White Mountain™ Horizon, Trail Blazer, and Lyrebird
Premium Performance Daypacks have a frame sheet across the back
that is made of a high-density polyethylene (HDPE), a flexible
but strong plastic. We then cover a single vertical Internal
Stave in 50 mm webbing and stitch this to the HDPE Frame Sheet.
Then by bending the single Internal Stave and the entire HDPE
frame sheet, we can contour the backpack to suit the
individual’s back. This combination of the HDPE Frame Sheet and
Internal Stave protects the back and assists in transferring the
load to the lower back.

The
Airflow Mesh constitutes a major advance in material technology,
a three dimensional material that is non-absorbent and highly
water-resistant. This Airflow Mesh features honeycombed cells
that breath to keep your back cool and as illustrated promotes a
continuous airflow to wick moisture from the body.
It is far superior to “Suspended Mesh Harness Systems” that
are prone to stretching and then ultimately collapse. “Suspended
Mesh Harness Systems” with the weight suspended further from the
backpack, will not provide a correct distribution of weight, and
fail to provide backpack stability.
For maximum ventilation, White Mountain covers the inside of
the Hip Belt, Shoulder Straps, and the Padded Back of all
Premium Performance Daypacks, or their AFS Harness System in
this Airflow Mesh.
White Mountain™ guarantees you increased levels of cool
comfort and performance.
